The Middle School studio art classes open a new world of creativity to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Students are instructed to create using a variety of mediums and are encouraged to develop their creative talents. In addition to skill development, excursions are offered to students which allow them to increase their appreciation of art. Viewing original masters and highly respected art pieces encourages knowledge of art and a desire to aim towards a higher level of individual success.

In addition to studio art, students with multi-levels of skill and instrumental performance talents enjoy a band program. A truly delightful drum line augments the pep band. Students with instrumental talent will find a niche in this many faceted program. Talents are discovered, nurtured, and allowed to flourish.

Drama and dance complete the foundation of fine art classes. Students gain acting experience performing in a fall and spring production and present performances as a part of the classroom experience. The dance program is truly amazing and is a most accomplished program. Students engage in School performances and selected community events. The pure joy associated with the arts program is reflected in the attitude and demeanor of the participating students.

The School's philosophy is that the fine and performing arts enhance student academic success at all levels. Middle School students embrace this enrichment approach to education.
