Upper School

Dear Prospective Upper School Students and Parents:

Thank you for your interest in The Meadows School. Challenging academics, athletics, an exceptionally strong fine arts program, numerous leadership opportunities at all grade levels, and a warm and caring faculty are only a few of the reasons we believe you will find The Meadows School the best community for preparing your child for the future.

Recently Upper School has adopted an Early Decision Admissions Option applicable for the 2008-2009 School year. For information about and a schedule of application deadlines for Early Decision, click on Early Decision.

If you choose to apply to The Meadows School for the 2008-2009 School year, please follow the step-by-step admission process guidelines

  1. Submit the Application for Admission Form and Family Statement  with the non-refundable application fee of $100.
  2. Register for the SSAT.  Visit www.ssat.org for test dates and registration information. This test must be taken on or before the February 2, 2008, test date to be considered in the first round of decisions. When registering, please make sure your scores are sent to The Meadows School Code #4993. To inquire about alternative testing, please contact Mrs. Judy Freres
  3. Give your child's current English and math teachers the respective recommendation forms to complete and mail directly back to The Meadows School Upper School.
  4. Give the Confidential School Report to your child's Principal, Head of School, or other authorized school officer to complete and mail directly back to The Meadows School Upper School.
  5. Complete the Transcript Release Form and give to your child's current school registrar. Have all current official school records/transcripts sent directly to The Meadows School Upper School.
  6. Please call and schedule your and your child's required visit and interview  by calling 702-797-5851 or e-mailing Mrs. Judy Freres.

The Meadows School will send out the first round of decision letters by March 15, 2008. If your child applies after that date, the application will still be accepted and reviewed on a rolling (ongoing) admission basis subject to space availability.

Please do not hesitate to call with questions.  We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Judy Freres
Registrar / Assistant to Upper School Director
