Jessie B. '12 won the silver medal in the 200 meter butterfly at the Junior Olympics swim meet  August 1. This meet is the final and premier swimming event of the summer season and is attended by the fastest swimmers in Nevada and Southern California.  Jessie is 13 years old and was only 1/2 a second away from the gold medal, swimming against a girl from Southern California who turned 15 on August 4. Jessie is well on her way to her goal for the coming season which is to achieve Junior National time standards and complete in Florida next spring against the best in the nation.
