On September 15th and at home, The Meadows Mustangs dominated an overmatched Beatty team by a score of 52 - 0. The Meadows Mustangs dominated from the beginning scoring on their second offensive play when wingback Michael K. '12 caught an over-the-shoulder pass for a 50-yard touchdown. Tight end Gerard M. '12 had an outstanding block on the play. Michael K. '12 would have another touchdown reception and another one rushing. Gerard M. '12 had one receiving touchdown on a jump ball and another one on a long rushing play. Quarterback Garrett G. '12 threw for three touchdown passes. Tailback Anthony G. '12 returned a punt for a touchdown. With 27 seconds left in the fourth quarter, defensive lineman Jacob J. '12 broke through the line of scrimmage and stripped the ball right out of the quarterback's hands and returned it for a touchdown. Although he did not have a touchdown, tailback Brandon T. '12 carried the load running the ball for the Mustangs. Utilities man Roger G. '14 had an outstanding tackle on a kickoff return for the Mustangs. The offensive line of the Mustangs included mostly center Stephen G. '12, guard Arturo M. '12, and guard Torrey M. '12 did an outstanding job opening up holes for the running backs to run in and giving the quarter back plenty of time and not allowing one sack. Ethan E-S '13 played some middle linebacker for the Mustangs and had some nice wrap up tackles. Sacks were made by: Jake S. '13 (2), Michael K. '12 (2), Gerard M. '12 (2), and Richard L. '12 (1). The Mustangs next game is Friday, September 21, against Calvary Chapel at The Meadows.
