Author: Rebecca Reeder-Hunt Department: Middle School English
The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) recently finished judging literary magazines from 453 high schools and middle schools across the United States that submitted publications for evaluation in June 2007. The Meadows School literary magazine, given the name of Oracles of Illusion by Mrs. Reeder's seventh and eighth grade students in 1995, has earned an "Excellent" rating. Oracles of Illusion is produced by the Middle School and contains poetry, short stories, and essays as well as some art work. Our magazine often earns high ratings because the cover art and art throughout the magazine is done by our students as well.
