On Saturday, February 9, The Meadows School Science Bowl team became the first team in five years to go undefeated, winning the 17th Nevada Regional Science Bowl held at UNLV, sponsored by the Department of Energy and Bechtel-Nevada. During the event, teams of students are quizzed in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, astronomy, and earth sciences. As the regional winners, The Meadows team received prize money for the School and earned a chance to compete in the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. in May.
Team members include: Kevin K. '08, Matthew S. '09, Vishnu H. '09, Jimmy Z. '09, and Tyler F. '09. The team is coached by Laura Glismann and Jeff Clouse.
