The Meadows Invitational was named the "Best Hosted Tournament of the Year" by the National Debate Coaches Association at its annual tournament.

Nevada State Results
The Meadows Forensics team headed north to Reno for the Nevada State tournament at Truckee Meadows Community College at the end of March. In Lincoln-Douglas debate, Amanda S. '08 continued her stellar year by winning the state championship. She completed the preliminary rounds with an undefeated record as the top seed, advanced through the quarterfinals and semifinals with ease, and reached the finals. She squared off against Churchill High School, right outside of Reno. On 3-2, Amanda was named the winner.
