The baseball team placed second at the 2A Southern Nevada Region Championship on Saturday, qualifying to compete at the state championship this weekend at Pershing County High School in Lovelock. The Mustangs lost their first game in the playoffs against West Wendover but came back to win two games in the "Loser's Bracket" against White Pine and West Wendover. Needles won the Southern Region championship.

The Meadows will play against Pershing County High School on Friday, May 16, at 9:00 a.m. For more information about the baseball state championships, go to the  NIAA website.
