Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
In our ongoing progress toward the goal of making The Meadows School the most diverse, equitable, and inclusive institution it can be, we as a school have examined both how we have been effective allies in the struggle for equality, and where we stand to improve.
Part of this process included building an Inclusion Task Force composed of students, alumni, parents, and faculty charged with reexamining the first draft of the Meadows Board of Trustees' Diversity Plan. Multiple drafts were created before the Board voted unanimously to approve the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Plan below.
As with our motto, "In Pursuit of Excellence," the work of growing institutionally in the areas of DEI is vital and ongoing. For our next step, we will be building working groups to address the six goals in our plan and will continue to update our community on our progress.
