Faculty Spotlight: Cassidy Paine

Cassidy Paine brings both experience and energy to the mathematics classroom at The Meadows School. Now in her seventh year at Meadows and her 17th year teaching overall, she teaches Honors Geometry, Honors College Algebra with Trigonometry, and AP Precalculus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Math Education from Florida International University and a Master of Education from George Mason University in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on integrating technology in the classroom. Her strong academic background, paired with years of classroom experience, helps her create meaningful learning opportunities for students at every level.

What Ms. Paine loves most about teaching is building confidence in her students and creating a classroom culture where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process. She works side by side with students to ensure they feel supported, encouraged, and safe to take risks without fear of failure. Her students can expect consistency, structure, and a welcoming environment each day, beginning with a friendly “good morning.” As she often reminds them, “I would say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with it,” emphasizing that success in math comes through practice, preparation, and perseverance.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Paine treasures the strong sense of community at Meadows. She especially values her colleagues across all divisions, describing the school as a place where people truly feel like family and are always ready to support one another. She also loves having her two daughters, Brady and Ryder, enrolled at Meadows, giving her the joy of seeing them throughout the school day. Outside of school, Ms. Paine has an impressive and adventurous background: she played Division I soccer at Florida International University, grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, has nine siblings, and enjoys distance running. In the past year alone, she has completed a half marathon, a full marathon, and several 5K races, with plans to run the Honolulu Marathon in December 2026.
