Faculty Spotlight: Haley Merrill

Haley Merrill brings both warmth and rigor to The Meadows School as a 6th and 7th grade mathematics teacher. A Las Vegas native, Merrill earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from UNLV and is now in her fifth year of teaching overall, including her second year at TMS. Her academic background and passion for problem-solving help shape a classroom experience that encourages students to think critically, build confidence, and grow as independent learners.

What Merrill loves most about teaching is working with students and helping them develop new skills while reaching their goals. She especially enjoys the middle school years, when students begin to gain more independence and discover their own abilities. In her classroom, students can expect a welcoming environment where they feel supported, while also being challenged to stretch their thinking and master new concepts.

When asked about her favorite thing about The Meadows School, Merrill’s answer is simple: the people. She appreciates the welcoming spirit of the students, faculty, and staff, which makes TMS such a special community. Outside the classroom, Merrill enjoys figure skating, adding another layer of discipline and creativity to her story. Her commitment to students and enthusiasm for learning make her a valued part of the Meadows community.
