Faculty Spotlight: Miguel Gomez
This week’s Faculty Spotlight features Miguel Gomez, a dedicated educator and coach beginning his first year at The Meadows School after 25 years in education. He teaches Lower School Physical Education and also serves as Head Coach of the Varsity Baseball Team, bringing experience, energy, and a strong commitment to student growth to both the gym and the field.
For Mr. Gomez, teaching Lower School PE is about much more than movement. It is about building confidence, creating joy, and helping students fall in love with being active through small wins each day. His students can expect energy, structure, and positivity in every class. He encourages them to try new things, learn from failure, and understand how to win and lose with character.

One of Mr. Gomez’s favorite things about The Meadows School is the strong sense of support among students, staff, and leadership. He is grateful to be part of a community that works hard, puts students first, and celebrates meaningful traditions like the Christmas Assembly. He values respect, honesty, consistency, accountability, and growth, believing that trust is built through daily actions and that mistakes are part of the learning process when they lead to effort, reflection, and progress.
