Faculty Spotlight: Sheri Turner
Sheri Turner has spent more than three decades helping young learners take their very first steps in school, and for the past 19 years, she has brought that passion to The Meadows School. A graduate of California State University, San Bernardino, Sheri teaches Beginning School’s youngest Mustangs, our 3-year-olds, with a warmth and dedication that sets the tone for a lifetime of learning. She believes these early years are incredibly meaningful, as they are the time when confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning begin to take root.
What Sheri loves most about teaching is being part of those small but powerful moments when something clicks and a child begins to realize what they are capable of. In her classroom, students can expect a warm, nurturing, and structured environment where they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. Sheri works to ensure every child feels loved and accepted first, while also building social skills, independence, social-emotional growth, and a strong academic foundation through hands-on activities, play, and exploration. Her goal is for each student to love coming to school and to begin their educational journey with joy, confidence, and a passion for learning.

Beyond the classroom, Sheri treasures family and tradition. She has been married for 36 years and is the proud mother of four sons, three of whom are firefighters and one who works for the state. She loves spending time with her family, especially summer camping trips to the beach with extended family and friends, as well as annual holiday visits to Disneyland. Sheri says one of her favorite things about The Meadows School is working alongside incredible colleagues who value strong relationships with students just as much as academic excellence. She views her classroom as the very first step in what she hopes will be a long and positive educational journey for every child, perhaps even as a future SuperLifer.
