Middle & Upper School Library
The Middle & Upper School Library serves and supports our Meadows middle school and high school-aged community including students, faculty, and families. Our library houses a diverse collection of over 5,000 books and research databases.Starting in sixth grade, our librarian co-teaches with the Middle School Computer Science teacher to introduce our students to their new library. Our librarian then co-teaches and collaborates with instructors in both the Middle and Upper School to build students' digital and media literacy skills supporting the academic interests and research and inquiry processes of our young people throughout their formative years.
The library space also provides an inviting environment for our ninth through twelfth grade flex periods and study halls, and serves as a place to charge devices, host small meetings, engage in quiet study or small group study, and hold small classes.
After school, the library is available as a quiet study space for students until 4:00 p.m. Our Upper School Writing Center, a student-led club, also provides help to students seeking assistance at all stages in the writing process (Mondays-Thursdays). Tutors from our Tutoring Center are available as well.
