Upper School (9-12)
From its respected traditional academic program to its acclaimed fine arts, forensics, sports, extra-curriculars, and community service offerings, the Upper School provides students with the opportunity to develop a love of and respect for learning, to prepare for acceptance to the finest colleges, and to identify and fulfill individual potential in a supportive environment. Upper School students are seen as individuals and are encouraged to sample a variety of interests or develop a deep passion for one particular area of study.
The academically ambitious and able high school student will find the classes taught by skilled, compassionate, and dedicated faculty to be challenging and stimulating. While the School maintains the highest intellectual standards, it recognizes and attends to the social and physical needs of the student body with an extensive choice of clubs, sports, performances, competitions, and special activities. The School also fosters each student to become a compassionate and productive member of society through community service.
Upper School students receive the finest guidance through the college admission process with one-on-one attention. On average, TMS high school students score higher on their SAT, ACT, and AP exams than others across Nevada and the country. Since the first graduating class in 1991, 100% of Meadows graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities.
The Upper School has received several accolades. The Meadows School has again been ranked by The Washington Post as one of "America's Most Challenging High Schools". The Upper School also received recognition from Niche.com as the #1 Best Private High School in Nevada for 2018. The School received an A+ Overall Niche.
