Chess

The Meadows School is thrilled to be hosting a chess tournament series for the 2025-26 school year! This will be an exciting collection of tournaments designed for both experienced and novice chess players.

There are two USCF-rated sections for K-5th and 6th-12th grade students. We will also have an unrated section for all grade levels, which is designed as an introduction to tournament chess.

We will recognize the top three players in each section at the individual tournaments, and we will also have grand prize winners for the overall tournament series. Each player’s top three scores from the series will be added together to determine the grand prize winners. You only need to participate in three tournaments to compete for the grand prize, but the more tournaments you enter, the better your chances!

Best Value: $150 for the entire Meadows tournament series, plus receive a tournament series t-shirt. This is a 50% savings if playing in all six tournaments! You do not need to play in all the tournaments to choose this option. No refunds, and the full series must be purchased prior to the second tournament on November 8, 2025.

Additional Options: $50 per tournament for early registration. The price will increase to $70 three days before the tournament. This is the better option if only playing in two or less tournaments during the series. A t-shirt will not be provided with this option.
