Events & Traditions
The Meadows School has quite a number of cherished traditions and events–both expected (commencement, Homecoming, reunions) and unexpected (pumpkin donating, the Long Blue Line). Behind each of these annually recurring events is a central theme that comes up time and again: here you’ll find a collaborative and affirming community, where students spur one another to achieve and accomplish their personal best. Here is a sampling of events and traditions that students, faculty, families and alumni look forward to year after year that make The Meadows unique:
- Battle for the Bell
- Annual Pancake Breakfast
- Fall Festival
- Homecoming Week including a carnival, games, and dance
- Pumpkin Decorating
- Make-a-Wish Nights
- Kindergarten Football Night
- Giving BLUEsday
- Parent Play Day
- The Twelve Days of Christmas all-school song
- Chinese New Year Parade
- Valentine's Day Bake Sale
- Prom
- Fiesta Carnival
- Long Blue Line Ceremony celebrating the graduating class
While this school year may be a bit different than years past, we are working to recreate, modify, or transition many of these events online to continue our history of tradition.
