Expanding your comfort zone—and creating results
An integral element of the Meadows education, instruction in visual arts, music, theater, and dance inspires students to express themselves and view the world from multiple perspectives—and empowers them to create innovative solutions.
In our Beginning and Lower Schools, art lessons enrich classroom themes and encourage children to use all their senses as they notice, express, and shape the world around them. In Lower School, students also perform on stage regularly, immerse in our renowned Orff music program, and learn from guest artists to stretch their skills and imaginations.
In Middle and Upper School, students study with working professionals in their fields, practicing increasingly sophisticated techniques for self-expression and self-presentation. Our thoughtfully designed Wanda Lamb Peccole Center for the Arts supports and enhances their endeavors with a photography studio, a dark room, two art studios, a gallery, a costume studio, two music rooms, a set-building room, a Black Box Theater, and the 333-seat Simon Ham-Peto Auditorium.
Expanding their comfort zones—and belief in their own possibilities—our student artists grow as problem-solvers and leaders. And they make the world around them more beautiful.
